Nathan Drake returns next year.
Sony has been on a roll with a slate of delayed PC software releases lately, in an attempt to bring their popular first party titles to market for a brand new audience of people who prefer to build their own gaming hardware.
Next up on the release docket is the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, which will include enhanced versions of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy developed by Iron Galaxy.
While no release date for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection has currently been confirmed by Sony, PlayStation Studios or Naughty Dog, the game has recently been rated by the ESRB (America’s Entertainment Software Rating Board) so it’s likely to be released rather soon. This lines up with word from Sony, who have currently just said that the game will release in “Early 2022”.
Interestingly, the ESRB listing seems to imply that the new release will no longer include the Uncharted 4 multiplayer mode. We can understand not putting the resources into that on PC, but we’ll need some clarification on Sony if it’s not included on PlayStation as the game mode is very much still active on that platform.
Uncharted 4 is the final outing of Uncharted series protagonist Nathan Drake, and tells the story of the treasure hunting hero reuniting with his brother Sam as the pair search for the fabled pirate treasure of Captain Henry Avery. It was first released as a premiere title for PlayStation 4 back in 2016.
