With the miniature car sports genre dominated by Epic Games Rocket League, many competitors have tried to emulate that success. With numerous titles and games that try to capture the same feeling, some find interesting ways to shake it up. Yet while Rocket League has remained the same, some developers have varied the gameplay. Be it new modes or a different sport; developers will always innovate. Yet when Rocket League custom modding became too overbearing, some turned to alternatives to craft an all-new experience. Such as Hugecalf Studios’ new upcoming arcade title, Turbo Golf Racing, launching in beta on Game Pass and PC. Replacing the soccer element that Rocket League become famous for, golf is the new aim of this new rocket-powered arcade game.
The trailer showcases some neat tricks and tracks, and there’s a lot to love from fans of similar games. Judging by the trailer alone, one can imagine the creativity players will use to pull off long shots. Showcasing a rally of sorts, where players compete by moving the ball through various hoops along a course. The variety of gameplay is surely varied throughout, but the golfing aspect puts a decent spin on the gameplay. While players will have to wait and see what the title turns out, the developers have announced an upcoming beta. Showcasing what they have built so far and giving players the chance to offer feedback is a great way to start. It also gives new players the chance to jump in without fear of missing anything important coming later down the line.
