The upcoming Square Enix-developed action JRPG, Valkyrie Elysium, has recently been rated by the ESRB as Teen for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
You can view the full ESRB rating description for Valkyrie Elysium below:
This is an action game in which players assume the role of a Valkyrie tasked with finding and purifying lost souls. From a third-person perspective, players explore environments and battle monsters, fellow Valkyries, and boss characters. Players use melee weapons (e.g., swords, spears) and elemental attacks (e.g., blasts of fire) to kill enemies in frenetic combat. Battles are highlighted by impact sounds, cries of pain, and explosions. One sequence depicts a character dramatically impaled by a spear. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
The title was also recently rated in Korea for those who are at least 12 years old. With these occurrences, it’s seeming highly likely that we’ll be receiving more information related to this game soon, which is appreciated since news on it has been nonexistent since its initial March 2022 announcement. A release window or even date seems probable too, potentially even being this year.
Random gamer equally confused by the mainstream and the unusual. Fan of JRPGs, Action, Platformers, Rhythm, and Adventure titles.
