How to move Xbox One games to Xbox Series X
There are a few ways to move Xbox One games to Xbox Series X:
- Use the cloud: If you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can use the cloud to stream Xbox One games to your Xbox Series X. This doesn’t require any installation or downloads and can be accessed through the Xbox Game Pass app.
- Use an external hard drive: If you have an external hard drive, you can connect it to your Xbox One and move your games onto it. Then, when you connect the hard drive to your Xbox Series X, you’ll be able to access your games.
- Use the network transfer feature: With the network transfer feature, you can transfer games from your Xbox One to your Xbox Series X over your local network. To use this feature, both consoles need to be connected to the same network and signed in to the same Xbox Live account.
Here are the steps to use the network transfer feature:
On your Xbox One, go to Settings > System > Backup & transfer > Network transfer.
Enable network transfer and make note of the IP address displayed on your Xbox One.
On your Xbox Series X, go to Settings > System > Backup & transfer > Network transfer.
Select “Copy from Xbox One” and enter the IP address of your Xbox One.
Follow the on-screen instructions to select the games you want to transfer and start the transfer.
It’s important to note that some Xbox One games may require an update to be played on Xbox Series X, so make sure to check for any available updates before transferring your games.
