After a long battle with cancer, the “ER” actor Jossara Jinaro has died. She passed away surrounded by friends and family. Her husband will plan a public memorial service later. Jossara Jinaro was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She grew up the adopted daughter of a diplomat in Colombia. The actor left home at 16 for Chicago and signed with her first agent. She eventually found herself at Columbia Tri-Star, where she played Virginia Bustos in the Alma-nominated sitcom “Viva Vegas.” Before she died, she played Cheech Marin’s daughter on “Judging Amy.” Eventually, the actor worked in “ER.” Her part in “Passions” was nominated for a 2006 GLAAD award. Jinaro went back to Colombia to work on the Novela “La Bella Ceci y El Imprudente.” The “Judging Amy” and “ER” star may have died but has left herself a legacy.
She returned to Hollywood for the show “East Los High.” The actor produced her own short films and made it into Panavision’s new filmmaker’s program. Jossara Jinaro was an amazing wife, mother, artist, and friend. The actor was able to star in great shows like “ER,” “Judging Amy,” and “Strong Medicine.” Not only was she known for television, but she starred in Devil’s Rejects, Havoc, and Fly Boys. The “Judging Amy” and “ER” star has not died for the fans of her work. Jossara Jinaro also starred in World Trade Center, with Maggie Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena, and the urban hip-hop movie Go For It!. Up until the “ER” and “Judging Amy” star died, she enjoyed doing live theatre. She was the leading lady in “Firehouse” by consulting producer Academy Award winner Robert Moresco and in “The Birthday Present,” directed by Academy Award winner Jonathan Sanger.
Jossara Jinaro died doing what she loved and left behind impressive work like “ER” and “Judging Amy.”
