Who doesn’t like a good action title? When you get drained out after all those droning classes and boring business meets, nothing acts as a better stress buster than a solid action game, which lets you square off against super villains or shoot at endless hordes of the undead. Here is our pick of this month’s best action games for mobile platforms. Start downloading right away!
Marvel Future Fight
Developer: Netmarble games
Size: 38.19 MB
This one is an absolute nerdgasm. Developers Netmarble games have managed to pack the greatest heroes of the Marvel universe into one game and put it on our phones. You get to choose anyone- from Spiderman, the Hulk to Groot of Guardians of the Galaxy.
Based on a story by Peter David, whose repertoire includes comics like The Incredible Hulk, Aquaman and Star Wars, Marvel Future Fight lets you the mightiest heroes and save the Marvel multiverse from collapsing upon each other. The gameplay may remind you of Injustice: Gods Among Us. The 3 vs 3 team up combat is a tried and tested formula and it doesn’t fail to impress here too.
The one-finger controls are easy to use and lets you pick up a quick fight while you are waiting for your metro or a short washroom break. This is a must have for all Marvel fans. However, hardcore combat gamers wouldn’t be disappointed with Marvel – FF. The only imperative is that you need a fast phone, with an octa core processor and more than 1 GB ram to enjoy the game to the fullest.
Frontline Commando: WW2
Developer: Glu
Size: 87.39 MB
Let’s get something out of the way first. Frontline Commando is the best looking android shooter out there. The latest in the series, FC: WW2 doesn’t disappoint. It lets you test your combat skills on the battlefields of Belgium, Italy, Germany and more. You get to choose from an exhaustive arsenal of D-Day weapons and dive headlong into Assault, sniper and rocket launcher missions to remove Axis occupation from war-torn towns and villages.
The best part of FC: WW2 is the stunning graphics that instantly immerses the player into the battle. The sharp response gets the player glued to the game for endless hours. We felt the game looks better with a bigger screen, so we recommend a tablet to experience the game at its full glory.
Goat Simulator Z
Developer: Coffee Stain Studios
Size: 304 MB
The gaming world is facing a zombie invasion. From Call Of Duty to Wolfenstein to Plants Vs Zombies, every series has one or the other comes infested with zombies. Why should Goat Simulator miss out on all the fun? So, here is Goat Z, which pits the ‘Goat’ against raving zombies in a world full of funny glitches which the developer chose to forget.
These glitches are what made the original Goat Simulator so popular when it arrived in the indie games circuit last year. Throw in the same fun, and add zombies to the mix. What you get is a game with moments of epic fun, where you arm your goat with anything from machine guns to tennis ball shooters. Romp around a city full of interactive objects and things which go boom! GSZ is unapologetically funny and is sure to give you a number of epic moments.
The only downside is the huge download size. However, its worth every byte. Take our word for it, it’s not BA-AAA-AD at all. (Sorry, couldn’t help it)
Wrath Of Obama
Developer: Ankaar Productions
Size: 157 MB
Imagine a world plagued by zombies raised by Lenin. Now imagine Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin fighting the hordes riding on horses and bears (Putin is too hardcore to ride horses) with machine guns, flamethrowers and what not. We have one word for it – EPIC!
If you ever wondered how Barack Obama would fare against incessant zombies, you must get your hands on this one. The gameplay is tight and the graphics are not that bad. It might not be a game you would want to store for later on, however, Wrath Of Obama offers unabashed fun, while it lasts. Go ahead, unleash the Obama in you!
Implosion – Never Lose Hope
Developer: Rayark Inc.
Size: 1.10 GB
Implosion is the newest AAA graphic enabled game available on handheld devices. We have seen a lot of AAA games for mobile before, like The Dark Knight Rises and others, and although they have a huge download size and demands a high-end phone to run them, they are simply the best looking games available on mobile platforms.
Implosion looks stunning on a tablet. You can also try it on your mobile phone, provided it has at least 1 GB RAM. If action games are what you swear by, you won’t be disappointed by Implosion.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, War Mech series III battle suits fight off alien forces,
giving humanity a last chance of survival. The gameplay is tight and responses well.
The graphics are stunning, to say the least and we loved the sci-fi story line. This one is for the connoisseurs of mobile gaming. If you can manage the 1 GB+ download, this is one game which you will boast by.
